India Formal Launch at GEC 2026

The Northern Powerhouse (NPH) Business & Policy Forum has grown into a leading voice for small and medium businesses across the UK. While rooted in the North of England, our work now reflects the experiences, ambitions and economic contribution of communities across Great Britain. We champion inclusive growth, trade, investment and innovation and operate as an independent think‑tank aligned with the Manifesto for the North.

The trade and business co-operation between India and UK are not at optimal levels and needs an urgent catalyst at both policy and ground level. A neutral and non-profit champion led by people who understand both cultures and nuances of doing business in both countries. With the recent UK-India free trade deal, the need for something institutional to address/bridge this gap has only become even more important.

We are progressing towards forming an All‑Party Parliamentary Group (APPG)
“Achieve cross-party support and muster sustained influence that ensures continuity”
